Imagine a wedding on the banks of a turquoise lake surrounded by glacier-clad peaks, blooming wildflowers and a crisp blue sky. Guests gather on a terraced patio, soak up the incredible views and await your arrival. A horse drawn carriage delivers you – the bride – and the Rocky Mountain magic begins.

I would love to have the big event on Lake Louise, go for pictures at the top of Sulphur Mountian and in and around all the shops and and end the night firing it up in the local hot spots!
My dream wedding in banff would be by the lake at chateau louis lake and then taking a helicopter to a mountain top for beautiful pictures with stunning scenery.
Helicopter to the top of a mountain to get married
Wedding on top if a mountain would be beautiful
My dream mountain wedding would be in August in Banff with my love and my best friend. Banff has always been my favorite spot and real place of connection for me and my boyfriend. I think anywhere with the mountians in the background, with all of the fall colors would be amazing
There is no other place better then spending time in Banff. Both Dave and I love heading to Banff for hiking, snowboarding, daily shopping, sit in the Hot Springs, or even watching the wildlife. That’s when they do pass by!
Our dream wedding has always been about expressing who we are as a couple. So if we had a choice our wedding would be somewhere, directly in the mountains, spending our time with nature. So besides having the wedding we would be camping, hiking, and going around enjoying things we love to do, as well as giving our guests the option to do the same.
The sulfur mountain gondala to the top then a sunrise wedding with the eagles migrating above would be a dream wedding.
My dream mountain wedding would be to be married on a huge deck or balcony overlooking a lake–having an outdoor ceremony and reception with an elegant natural influence, with an intimate family only atmosphere. It would be cool to do this in the winter or fall, o r late summer.
Fairmont Banff springs winter wonderland wedding. This elegant setting would be perfect for the ceremony, reception, guests and wedding party pictures. Some nature pictures taken with mountain background and some more modern pictures taken within the castle in the mountain.

My dream wedding would be somewhere near a lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. Natural beauty would be the theme!

I wish I could get marry in Banff with all our family from Quebec and Germany. having a chic vintage wedding in a ski resort in March so we can enjoy skiing the next day with all the family.
Danielle and Joerg
My dream wedding would be in a small old church in Banff, with a gorgeous candle lit reception at the Banff Springs. There would be a live pianist and jazz band, to dance the night away in the candle light!
Dream wedding, hmmmm….. Crisp winter air, lightly falling snow, on the top of a mountain with trees and snow all around me,the man of my dreams in front of me and family surrounding me as i pledge my love forever.
Skidiving!!! my groom and i would jump out at 25000 feet with a special few that could stomach the death defying yet completely exhilarating act and pledge my eternal love, now that’s a day to remember.
I am planning it!!! I am going to say I DO to the man i love in the shadow of the same mountains that we started falling in love in! on the greens at a golf course with a beautiful blue lake behind us on a warm fall day (I hope) with my sisters by my side i will say i do and pledge my life to the one man that has treated me like a princess everyday we have been together.
With my geriatric chair beside me i would stand up to say i do again to the man i said I DO too 35 years ago…. In all seriousness though i would love to walk up a path next to a small babbling brook in a secluded mountain with my friends and family surrounding me i would then say i do to the man i have loved for many years and that i plan to spend many more standing beside.
My dream wedding would take place at the base of a waterfall with close friends and family. I would have tealights hanging from the trees, and at the end of the ceremony, in which we wrote our own vows, we would release a bunch of colorful butterflies. We would have afternoon tea and champagne by the waterfall with our guests and then take a horse and carriage to a beautiful lake where we would take canoes out and have photos taken with our wedding party. In the evening we’d have our reception dinner in an elegant but rustic lodge and roast marshmallows for s’mores. Of course the dance would follow! Because one day just isn’t enough we would continue the next day with a more casual atmosphere and a bbq by the river.
My fiancé and I love the mountains and spend much of our summers in Banff. Our dream wedding would be in a forested mountain area with our golden retriever Ben as our ring bearer. The entire wedding would be nature inspired and environmentally friendly. The reception would be in a venue with lots of windows showing a view of the mountains. There would be candlelight, wine, and dancing. My dress and ring are vintage inspired so we want the day to have that vintage romantic feel. Most of all we want the day to be stress free and enjoy our time with friends and family.
My dream wedding in Banff would be completely outside! I don’t care if it would be raining or snowing! The scenery, sights, smells, everything that is in Banff would be an important part of my dream wedding. Gorgeous!
My dream wedding in Banff would be elegant and winter themed. I absolutely love the idea of getting married surrounded with the stunning scenery of the snow covered trees and mountains. I would love to get married at a ski hill and have our ceremony and reception in a chalet, the pictures would be absolutely breath taking! Or at Banff Springs Hotel, its such a beautiful place! I love Banff!!
My dream wedding would be either on the dock at Lake Louise, or up on the viewing platform above the lake and overlooking the Chateau. The reception would be at the Chateau.
I would want my dream wedding in banff to be an amazing experience. I would want a winter wonderland wedding and looking at all the pictures and videos im sure banff could provide that. I have never been to banff so from what it looks like it would offer I would have the magical moment and experience all there. First I would have a limo drive us to the location. My ceremony would be surrounded by snow covered trees and open view of the water. I would want hidden speakers for the entrance music. Also cameras everywhere to capture EVERY moment. First my husband to be would walk down the isle with his mom than my flower girl and ring bearer, than all my bridesmaids and groomsmen would come out as they are doing that my father and i would be in the horse and carriage. we would arrive and my dad walks me down the isle and gives me to my best friend/love of my life. we would say our vows and all that stuff. After I would get the horse and carriage to take me and my now husband away. We would get to the destination to take the pictures with the bridal party and parents and what not. Meanwhile our guests would be back at where we were having the reception having cocktails and waiting for us. When all the pics were done we would go to the reception and have the dinner and speaches. Than the dance and party would begin. that would be my dream wedding in banff! My Winter Wonderland!
My dream is a wedding on a clear summer day, on a patio overlooking a still mountain lake. The backdrop would be the perfect image of beauty and our Canadian heritage. In the evening our guests could celebrate with us as the sun sets over the peaks, and continue to do so into the night, spending the magical weekend in a town full of friendly faces.
My dream wedding would be in banff, in front of a mountain top with crisp clean water babbling behind. My dream was too also have my grandparents all there. Unfortunately 3 of my 4 grand parents are immobile, so I chose to have my wedding in Edmonton. Winning a stagette would definately add to my dream. Either way that I will hopefully get my dream honeymoon in Banff. It truly takes my breath away!
I greatly appreciate all the info I’ve read here. I will spread the word about your blog to other people. Cheers.
My ultimate wedding;
Arriving with entire bridal party a couple days before the wedding to relax together and make memories. The wedding will be in December, so landscape would be a winter wonderland. The entire bridal party and both sets of parents staying at the amazing Banff Springs Hotel with us the night before the wedding. The ceremony would be in a beautiful historic room I have been dreaming of. Very historic castle feel. Then a huge reception to be kicked off after some gorgeous outdoor mountain-as-the-backdrop photos are shot. Then after a memory and funfilled evening with plenty of excited family and friends, my groom to be and I would dash off to our romantic suite and spend another couple days taking in the amazing-ness of Banff.
Bridal Fantasy Conest:
My dream wedding is the wedding me and my Fiancee are planning. We are getting married in Banff (Banff Park Lodge to be specific) on October 6th, 2012. We are having an intimate wedding of family and close friends.
If money were no object, we may have had the ceremony and reception at the Banff Springs, but it doesn’t matter where we get married, because I know no matter what that it will be the most special day of our lives
My dream for a mountain wedding has been a long time coming. My fiance and I have always found Banff and the mountains to be “our place”. Early in our relationship – only two months in, we took off to Banff and stayed in the famous “The Fox” with the water fall/cave hot tub. Since then, over the past four years, we have always used Banff as our get away, and we come often just to be together and to enjoy the beauty of the land.
…..and think to ourselves that our dreams finally came true!
My dream wedding would be in the middle of a mountain scene, near the teal blue waters the mountain lakes provide. It would be outdoors, on a warm day with a small breeze. It would take place a little later in the afternoon, so that the pictures could be taken as the sun was setting. We of course would not see each other before wedding, so few things in life remain a surprise, this is one of those things we are determined to keep that way. Bow Falls has always been our “spot”, so if we could have our pictures taken there, it would be a dream come true.
So as said, we would have an outdoor ceremony. The asile way would be lined with pillars and candles…. fresh roses would fill the asile floor.
The look on his face when he see’s me for the first time screams that this is the moment he’s waited for his whole life.
The feeling I want portrayed throughout the entire day is that we could not be more in love. The ceremony will be beautiful – short, heartfelt, with a touch of humor.
Our vows will be written by ourselves.
The pictures will be ever lasting moments that will remain posted around our home for years to come and will clearly portray that all of our dreams are coming true- in the mountains!
The reception will being with fancy-dressed waitress’s carrying around trays of fancy finger foods. The theme will be elegant. Our colors will be deep purple, black, white. Feathers and diamond themed decorations will line the hall of our reception venue.
The food will be amazing, and then the dancing will start.
The dancing, laughter, and picture taking will continue on throughout the late night into early morning. We stay until 3 am.
Our midnight lunch will be a mixture of a make your own poutine bar…. and a touch of home with baking from all our family aunties and grandmas. Everyone will leave the wedding wishing it didn’t end.
And we will put our heads down on our pillows, after he of course carries me up to our hotel room
PLEASE LET ME WIN THE STAGETTE IN BANFF
It would also be a dream come true to be able to bring the people who are closest to me to the place I love to celebrate.
My most cherished hope has come true – to marry a man who is my soulmate, my lover, and my best friend. To complete our promise it is a dream to be married in the majestic Rocky mountains. We are both from Alberta, so the mountains have a big place in our hearts, especially in Banff. Summers camping, winters skiiing – Banff is our getaway, our place of escape, our place to dream.
On the terrace of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, I will love to say this to my man among the mountains:
“All things are ours because we love
The earth below, the sky above,
The mountains, meadow, earth, and water,
All things surrounding,
God has given to you and me.
They are a sweet reflection of
The wonder of God’s love,
And of our love for one another.”
After the ceremony we will share a night of dining and dancing with all our guests. And we will awake together a new day, the first day that we are husband and wife in the mountains.
Please enter Sarah Kvamme for your contest to win a stagette in Banff.
A log cabin close to the water…with a mountain view would be beautiful!
My dream wedding is in Banff National Park on Plain of Six Glaciers. I would have an aisle of pebbles and candles that lead to an outlook. At the outlook I would marry my love, Kyle. Standing at the outlook our guests would stand in a semi-circle against the forest. We would exchange vows as the sunsets. Our reception would be at the Fairmont Banff Springs. It would be a dream come true. Both nature and luxury in the most beautiful place on earth!
A wedding in Banff would be the most magical fairytale imaginable. The ultimate day i spent most of my days daydreaming about. With its beauty and class Banff is the ultimate dream wedding place of all time in my opinion. A day I have dreamed of ever since i was a little girl dragging my doll behind me by her foot.
Dreams do come true, we ARE getting married in Banff this summer.
We chose this desination wedding because the Banff area has been part of our relationshiop from the beginning. From the initial romance (an Alberta guy brings an Ontario gal home to meet the family one Christmas, and then they dash off to the mountains for a few days of skiing). Later they move to Alberta.
It was part of reconnecting after months apart – a reunion getaway after the Alberta soldier spent months in Afganistan.
It is part of our annual holiday, camping with family and meeting new friends from around the world – introducing smors at a common campfire (camping in Banff just does that to you).
When we thought of where we wanted to share our special day with our family and closest friends, Banff was the obvious choice.
See you in JULY!
My dream wedding in banff national park would be during the winter time. My fiancé and I love skiing/boarding so it would be nice to take the gondola up a mountain and have a small ceremony at the top. Then afterwards we would have the reception at the banff springs hotel. Our close friends and family would attend. It would be a winter wonderland wedding. I have so many find memories of the banff springs hotel. The following day we would invite people to have breakfast at the hotel with us, then for an early afternoon/evening bowling tournament.
I think the perfect wedding would be outside a rustic cabin. My son and his future wife are outdoor people and this would be the absolute best.
We would love to get married in front of wall to ceiling glass windows which overlook the mountains at sunset. The aisle would be lined with candles; with accents of curly willow and pebble stones. A very arboreal theme which I’m trying to recreat for our Edmonton wedding. Thanks.
Getting married in Banff among the mountains would be a dream come true. Being an Albertan couple who spends many cherished weekends skiing the slopes in Banff and Lake Louise we could imagine anything more special or more beautiful!
Getting married on the edge of lake at Lake Louise and celebrating our wedding at the Fairmont in Banff would be our dream wedding.
Even my bridal party wants to celebrate in Banff for the stagette! PLEASE let us win the stagette in Banff!
I am a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and as part of the bridal party it is our dream to have a Banff stagette! It would be our dream and the Brides to spend the day at the spa, then a night on the town in Banff. Please let us win this stagette!
I am the maid of honor for a September wedding and we would love to celebrate the stagette in Banff! We want to spend time on the town and a lot of time in the SPA! Please let us win this Stagette it will be perfect for all of us!
Nothing says “Alberta” like crisp mountain air, beautiful blue skies, towering evergreens, colourful wildflowers and wildlife. There isn’t a more perfect place to see all of those things than in Banff. Summer, Spring, Winter or Fall….it’s picturesque year round. The only thing that makes a trip like that even more special, is being able to share it with family and friends.
My husband and I will be married 25 yrs in Nov. If we could win a trip, it would be wonderful to renew our vows at a quaint private ceremony at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, and then to take a helicopter ride up to the top of a mountain and soak in what God has given us! What wonderful pictures this would make!!
